With all the above incentives included, each position typically accrues these annual salaries:
Laborers: $40,000 – $52,000
Junior Foremen: $54,000 – $65,000
Foreman: $65,000 – $85,000
Senior Foremen: $85,000 – $100,000+

Job Description
These are our basic expectations for each position.
Painting Laborer
Chain of Command
- Laborers will answer to their Foreman, Sr Foreman, the Production Manager, and the Division Leader
Responsibilities
- Following the direction of the foreman on site and doing your best to learn
- Cleaning/organizing brushes and other painting equipment
- Setting up and taking down ladders and scaffolding.
- Preparing surfaces to receive paint, then applying paint
- Working off of ladders, scaffolding, planks, and lifts at high elevations
- Lifting heavy objects – possibly 50-75lb
- Working in high heat/humidity and cold conditions
- Occasionally completing flooring and other light remodeling projects
- Learning quickly, remaining attentive, and maintaining a good attitude
Benefits
All power tools, ladders, etc will be provided, but you are responsible for purchasing and maintaining your own standard hand tools (Specifically a tool belt, tape measure with 9’ standout, hammer, pencil, chalk box, utility knife, hand screw driver, and speed square). Company shirts, hats, and a hoodie will be provided, but you are responsible for purchasing and maintaining your own pants, shoes, etc.
Construction Laborer
Chain of Command
- Laborers will answer to their Foreman, Sr Foreman, the Production Manager, and the Division Leader
Responsibilities
- Following the direction of the foreman on site and doing your best to learn
- Completing all aspects of residential construction including but not limited to Framing, Roofing, Siding, Electrical, Plumbing, Insulation, Drywall, Flooring, and Trimwork.
- Working off of ladders, scaffolding, planks, and lifts at high elevations
- Cleaning the job site, maintaining tools.
- Lifting heavy objects – possibly 50-75lb
- Working in high heat/humidity and cold conditions
Benefits
All power tools, ladders, etc will be provided, but you are responsible for purchasing and maintaining your own standard hand tools (Specifically a tool belt, tape measure with 9’ standout, hammer, pencil, chalk box, utility knife, hand screw driver, and speed square). Company shirts, hats, and a hoodie will be provided, but you are responsible for purchasing and maintaining your own pants, boots, winter gear, etc.
Jr Foreman
The Jr Foreman will be given jobs from their Sr Foreman that they will complete with oversight from their Sr Foreman, within the allotted times and budget with 1-2 laborers. They are in this position in order to hone their carpentry and leadership skills so that they can level up to Foreman within two years. The jobs they complete are typically simpler than the jobs a foreman has to complete.
Chain of Command
- The Jr Foreman will answer to their Sr Foreman, the Production Manager, and the Division Leader
- The Jr Foreman will have 1-2 Laborers under their charge
Responsibilities
The Jr Foreman’s purpose is:
- to complete the jobs given to him by his Sr Foreman with oversight from his Sr Foreman within the allotted time and budget and to the WBR quality standards;
- hone his carpentry and leadership skills so that he can level up to Foreman within two years;
- lead and encourage his crew members to be quality and efficient carpenters;
- keep his crew running smoothly and efficiently;
- handle disputes among the crew members that may arise;
- build and maintain relationships with his crew members and encourage good relationships among the crew members;
- and build good relationships with the customers and answer their questions regarding the work.
Admininstrative Duties
- Submit weekly evaluations of their crew members
- Organize and submit all invoices from their project and turn them in to their Sr Foreman every Friday, or as needed
- Check over their crew member’s time cards daily to ensure accuracy
- Submit Daily Activity Reports when requested by the Production Manager
Benefits
The Jr Foremen will receive a company laptop. On top of their hourly wage, they will receive a quarterly bonus that is based on the profitability of the completed jobs.
Foreman
The Foremen will be given jobs from their Sr Foreman that they will complete within the allotted times and budget. They will be able to effectively lead and train 1-3 laborers on a daily basis.
Chain of Command
- The Foremen will answer to their Sr Foreman, the Production Manager, and the Division Leader
- The Foremen will have 1-3 Laborers under their charge
Responsibilities
The Foreman’s purpose is:
- to complete the jobs given to him by his Sr Foreman within the allotted time and budget and to the WBR quality standards;
- complete jobs without daily direction from the Sr. Foreman;
- train and encourage new crew members to be quality and efficient carpenters;
- keep his crew running smoothly and efficiently;
- handle disputes among the crew members that may arise;
- build and maintain relationships with his crew members and encourage good relationships among the crew members;
- and build good relationships with the customers and answer their questions regarding the work.
Admininstrative Duties

Sr Foreman
The Sr Foremen will be given jobs from the Production Manager in order to complete them within or under the allotted time and budget. They will have Foremen and Jr Foremen to lead in order to complete the jobs. They will also run their own crew with 2-4 laborers that he is training to become Jr Foremen.
Chain of Command
- Sr Foremen will work in tandem with the Production Manager and answer to the Division Leader.
- Sr Foremen will have Foremen, Jr Foremen, and Laborers under their charge.
Responsibilities
The Sr Foreman’s purpose is:
- to keep production running smoothly and efficiently;
- spot and correct inefficiencies in the workflow;
- train and encourage crew members to be quality and efficient carpenters;
- build and maintain relationships with his crew members and encourage good relationships among the crew members;
- build good relationships with the customers and answer their questions regarding the work;
- and oversee the Jr Foremen and Foremen as follows:
Jr Foreman
- Set up new jobs with them
- Answer their questions throughout the day
- Inspect their work daily to insure WBR’s standards of quality and exceptional workmanship are being maintained
- Oversee the ordering of their daily materials
- Ensure that the job stays within the allotted budget and time
- Train and encourage them to become self-sufficient so that they can level up to a Foreman position within 2 years
- Handle any disputes among the laborers that the Jr Foreman can not deal with
Foreman
- Answer any questions they have about the job
- Inspect their work at the end of the job to insure WBR’s standards of quality and exceptional workmanship are being maintained
- Assist with training new laborers if need be
- Train and encourage them to level up to Sr Foreman (if they so desire)
- Handle any disputes among the laborers that the Foreman can not deal with
Administrative Duties
- Submit weekly evaluations of their own crew members
- Submit weekly evaluations of their Foremen and Jr. Foremen
- Work in tandem with the Division Leader to make decisions towards promotions regarding, laborer to Jr. Foreman, Jr. Foreman to Foreman, and Foreman to Sr. Foreman
- Check over their crew member’s time cards daily to ensure accuracy
- Keep track of where the job is at and communicate with the Production Manager about the progress so that the Progress Payments for the job can be sent out on time
- Organize and submit all invoices from his project as well as all his Foremen and Jr. Formens’ projects and turn them in to the Production Manager every Friday, or as needed
- Review crew members’ work performance with his Foremen and take part in the Bi-annual meetings for his crew members as well as the 2 week, 2 month, and 4 month meetings for new employees
- Lead book clubs with his crews 1-2 times per week as needed
Benefits
Sr Foremen will receive a company “drive-around” truck to commute between jobs and a company laptop. On top of their hourly wage and benefits (SIMPLE IRA match and level III of PTO), they will also receive the following bonuses to be paid on a quarterly basis:
- 50% of the bonus brought in by the Jr Foreman
- 15% of the bonus brought in by the Foreman
- Full bonus on all jobs where they act as Foreman
