Job Description
These are our basic expectations for each position.
Laborer
- Follow the direction of the Foreman on site
- Work daily to learn all aspects of the trade
- Actively work to learn all the responsibilities of a Foreman
- Improve personal leadership capacity
- Reports to the Foreman
Foreman
- Manage all jobsite activity and progress
- Train Laborers in all aspects of the trade
- Train Laborers to become leaders and Foremen via meetings and daily example
- Handle conflicts between Laborers in their crew, and answer all their questions regarding WBR Standards and Procedures
- Complete Employee Evaluations and Field Reports
- Maintain clear, daily communication with the Project Manager
- Actively work to learn all the responsibilities of a Project Manager
- Improve personal leadership capacity
- Reports to the Project Manager
How We Measure
These are the metrics we use to determine raises and promotions.
Laborer
-
Clocks in no later than the specified arrival time. Typically 7 AM, but can vary for meetings and other things
-
Has no more than 3 clocking errors per week
-
Can complete a task without help after being given guidance or a demonstration on 2 previous occasions
-
Does not continue to repeat the same mistakes
-
Attends weekly leadership meeting on time and prepared
-
Maintains a good attitude in the following way: Does not complain, or slow down when given any task whatsoever. Copies the Foreman’s work speed in any situation. Seeks daily to improve relationship with coworkers

Intentionally strives to learn and understand all aspects of the trade
Foreman

Consistently meets all Laborer KPIs and also:
-
Clocks in no later than 6:45 am every morning for daily huddle, or 5 minutes before any specified meeting time. (verified by Exaktime)

Produces the expected profit margins on all projects (goal set by Project Manager)
-
Reviews laborer time cards daily.

Completes each item of foreman checklist before, after, and during each project (verified by Project Manager)
-
Can turn a Laborer who meets all KPIs into a Foreman in 2 years
-
Produces positive reviews from customers
-
Intentionally strives to become proficient in all aspects of the trade (verified by Project Manager)
